A neutral design dream defines the Altadena Project from the very beginning. Creamy tones, layered textures, and intentional color accents create a warm and inviting home. Through strategic furniture placement, we transformed formal spaces into areas designed for everyday living. As a result, the layout now supports relaxing, hosting friends, mixing drinks, and playing games.
From there, our design process focused on reimagining the formal living room as a comfortable lounge. Layered rugs, along with a dramatic chandelier, establish a relaxed and welcoming tone. At the same time, swivel chairs create an easy visual and physical connection to the dining room. In the dining space, a classic wood table pairs seamlessly with timeless linen dining chairs.
Whenever clients ask where to invest, we consistently recommend a high quality dining table. After all, nearly every home has space for a dining table at some point. More importantly, a well made table offers longevity, versatility, and lasting value for years to come.

The biggest transformation in the family room came from floating the furniture away from the walls. Centering the furniture on the area rug created a functional pass through behind the sofa. This layout improves circulation from one side of the home to the other. When in doubt, floating furniture always creates better flow.
A subtle blue color theme ties the surrounding spaces together. Architectural accent chairs add contrast to the soft and muted palette. These structured forms balance the cozy elements in the room.
Our favorite feature is the artisan floral grid wall. Gallery walls and framed art offer far more than traditional portraits. Thoughtful artwork adds depth, personality, and visual interest to any space.
The powder room and kitchen received a light renovation to bring the home out of the 1990s.
As a result, these updates moved the spaces confidently into a modern 2021 aesthetic.
To begin, we refinished the brown cabinetry with a fresh paint color to instantly brighten the rooms.
In addition, a crisp quartz countertop added durability while delivering a clean, timeless look.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, a cement tile backsplash introduced texture, depth, and personality.
Similarly, the powder room offered the perfect opportunity to make a bold design statement.
For this reason, our clients selected a striking wallpaper to add visual interest and character.
At the same time, cool tones balance the pattern and prevent the space from feeling overwhelming.
